Howe has probably done the MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) and the PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament)

The medial collateral ligament (MCL) is located on the inner aspect, or part, of your knee, but it's outside the joint itself. Ligaments hold bones together and add stability and strength to a joint. The MCL connects the top of the tibia, or shinbone, to the bottom of the femur, or thighbone.

The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a ligament within the knee. Ligaments are tough bands of tissue that connect bones. The PCL -- similar to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) -- connects the thigh bone (femur) to your shin bone (tibia). Although it is larger and stronger than the ACL, the PCL can be torn.

You wont be seeing Howie until mid next season at the earliest.

What a grind. Disappointed but a gutsy effort on the road none the less. That's a fair list they have. That Ward is a tough player. Green did for them what we hoped JDG would. They choked our run, just couldn't move it into space in order to get clean ball into our forwards.
Devastated 're Howe. That'll be a managed pre-season and likely mid-year 2021 before we see him again. Hopefully Langdon isn't far away although vastly different players and impact. Enter Scharenberg.
Treloar back next week.
Going to be some sore boys tomorrow.
Re-set, move on.

They officially own us now: physically and mentally. We were flat for most of the might. Failed to capitalise on our early chances and had no answer to their pressure and tactics. Our goal kicking is deplorable. Far too much focus on the fancy shit and not enough balls to nail the goal from 35 out. Drives me f***ing nuts, and it's always the same culprits.

We have a very predictable game plan and no plan B. Too much left to too few. Solid defense, decent midfield effort but a shocking effort by our forwards who seem to think that scoring a goal or two is enough for a days work. Until we clean up our ball use and improve our skills and decision making then we'll be going nowhere fast.

The loss of howe is catastrophic to our defensive structure and I don't know how and who we replace him with. All we have is a rookie and 2 blokes with bung knees.

No Maynard stuff up and we would have won, despite our poor kicking for goal, set shot, that definitely cost us as well. We must kick those set shot goals, its so deflating to miss them. We must learn a lot from this loss, and come back hard next week.

I hate to say this, but it’s always the best players who get the most serious injuries,Ordinary layers don’t seem to get injuries like that.

A 2 point loss on the Giants' home ground is bitterly disappointing, but proves that we are in GF contention, nothing else. The loss of Howe is a devastating setback, not the loss itself. The key question is, is our team defensive system able to sustain the loss of AA Jeremy Howe? On the surface, one would have to say no. He is so pivotal to our rebound defence. But in past seasons, our players and their coaches have manufactured miracles. I won't put anything past them. Can we create another miracle with players such as Nathan Murphy, and stopgaps Jack Magden and Ben Reid while he gets ready?? Oh yeah, I forgot Scharenberg. Enter Scharenberg. Your time has come.

9 seasons and what’s improved? This club continues to beat up on the weak and struggle against anyone willing to put pressure on.

And I’m not even sure GWS is actually any good, they got thumped by the Dogs last week FFS!

After 9 years any player list problems are solely the blame of the coach. If he hasn’t got the list to play his shitty game plan then he’s clearly incompetent and needs to go.

Oh and anyone who thinks we beat them at the G, they’ve won 2 of the last 3 at the G against us.

Pay the free, we win the game and go on to be Premiers

Free not paid, Howe has catastrophic injury, lose the game and won’t be premiers.
Exactly!!!!!!

Why of Course!
Why the eye -rolling 3rd degree???? Howie is not only a magnificent intercept defender, he's also the present general of the back-line. There is no-one else who could step up and take this role. By rolling your eyes, I think you are totally under-valuing his importance to the team.
Then again, I suppose Richmond did win a premiership without Rance.

Two point loss in slippery conditions, away from home, on a sh!tpile of Sydney ground that looked chopped up like the aftermath of a Kalkee vs Rupanyup game.

Ok, allows Langers to come back and play the Howe sweeper role. That will work.

Getting games into Daicos and the Browns, who will get better, ditto.

Stevo will learn a lesson from tonight.

People bagging Noble, seriously, this time last year the guy had just joined us from SA. This season has been covid'd and he wasn't close to our worst. He shows poise, dash and good kicking. The kind of bottom six player than can win you a flag.

More influential game from Crisp, who can also help cover for Howe, possibly inject Quaynor to help there as well. It's easier staffing back roles when you have Moore and Roughhead, Maynard, to build around than find reliable avenues to goal.

Cox will get better, possibly shouldn't have played on a slippery night as they have always led to people calling for his head in the past, but he will get better. Goal was clutch, nevertheless.

Billy struggling to get involved. Ditto WHE. Mayne did serviceable job on Whitfield, but shocking miss for a veteran. Steele did some handy things in the second half getting away from De Boer, Pendles stood up (but could have done with that goal), Grundy too. Moore.

JDG, I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed.

Look, tough loss, but take out the emotion and we can still grow out of it. Howe is a big hit, but remember 2018 anyone? However lose next week and I won't be so upbeat I guarantee you.

Well, if there is any silver lining with Howie's injury for me, it's this.
