Some interesting points but their comments on the break-up of Yugoslavia are naive and simplistic, at best.

I mean, yes, but why does that in particular make them clueless? I know Lviv (and the country’s west more broadly) isn’t a front in the war yet, but Kiev is already being bombed. If anything, one can reasonably expect Lviv to be the headquarters and springboard for the resistance, so I doubt it will be left unscathed in the coming days.

I think they already have

They claim they've shot down 4 Russian tanks, 5 Russian aircrafts and 1 Russian helicopter, which has resulted in 50 deaths.

Why so many people are tempted to buy Putin's Russian security argument is beyond me. From memory, the polling shows Ukrainians are largely happy to live between the EU and Russian ancestry/familial/cultural affiliation, and as I say no one wants anything from Putin's Russia except to stop being arse hats. Certainly, there's nothing that can't be negotiated using far less violent means.

This is outright standover thuggery and imposition precisely because no one wants anything from Putin's Russia.

Agree. Everyday people shown huddled together in a subway in Kiev with their kids and pets was like WW2 revisited. All because an aging despot wants one last lunge at grandiosity :x
