I feel sorry for Travis in all of this.
The way this has been negotiated and the public airing of offers is totally novice and IMO meant more to drive up the price.
This has backfired badly and Travis will be the victim of Dad's incapacity to fulfill his job as a manager.
I think we have now passed the point of no return and now Cloke Sr will be trying to run an auction between Dees, Carlton and Freo (if they are still interested) for Travis' services.
Sad, sad, sad that Cloke Sr is doing this to his son.

I think you may be close to the mark. Not sure the advice he is receiving is good for us or him. Hopefully if he wants to stay he just says enough is enough & advises his management that he intends to sign now.sq3 wrote:I feel sorry for Travis in all of this.

Eddie told you this himself ?ClokingDevice wrote:Eddie thought he had it sewn up before he left, was supposed to be that Friday at the latest..
Something has changed
Eddie does not do the players contracts , Geoff Walsh does.
But according to you and NPM "Deal is done" Cloke had agreed and signed 6 weeks ago.
Well both of you have been spot on with your "inside info" as usual.

Part of me feels sorry for Travis and I hope one day soon he comes out with a big press conference and says " See, I told you so, everything is sweet and you guys just blew this out of proportion."
Then there is this other part of me that says "What the F@#$ are you doing to us F#$% Ya!"........I feel like walking up to him and poking his forehead with my forefinger and saying "Duh duh duh duh."
Anyway I've got some cleaning up to do around the house and I might just stew on it for a couple more hours.

Since posting a message at 6 59 tonight re Cloke //.
No one has answered my question
No one on Nicks has come forward and said they have had a wage increase discussion that lasted 8 months so who on here has had one that lasted only 6MONTHS ??
OR
4 months ?????

I had my performance review 3 months ago. The subject of salary came up, I showed him an email where I'd knocked back a significant increase to go elsewhere. I'm still waiting, but not bothered.sem wrote:Since posting a message at 6 59 tonight re Cloke //.

Some of my staff got their nose out of joint at what comparable places are paying. I've put it up to be reviewed but I don't hold out a lot of hope and that's been 9 months.

Hmmmmmm
He had signed then he didn't sign. Big drama's from what I am now hearing from my sources. I will be surprised if he stays now. Anyway, from his recent efforts I fail to see how he is good value for money. I like him as a player and a bloke. But fair suck of the sauce bottle. Not worth what he is asking.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

ASSUMING all the commentators are correct about Cloke // so no one is correct as i said at 6 59 a line in the sand for 7 DAYS is enough .
IF you operate a business and one person is causing a problem and frustration and effecting moral BYE BYE .
Show some guts Collingwood and do what you say / that the club is bigger than the individual //BYE BYE TRAV gp where ever you want but not here .
Cloke did the wrong thing going on the Footy Show against the coaches wishes and spoke about discussions that should have been confidential .
If he worked for me i would have chastised him then .
NOW is the best time to show the brand of CFC is bigger than the individual
Funny last year we also had a disloyal person who found a need to air his dirty linen on the Footy Show and it was disgraceful when he asked for loyalty from his players // shame on you Mick Malthouse

IF that is True than he is GoneBeast wrote:According to Brian Taylor the deal is far from done and in fact both parties are further apart than they ever been. He said that today on 3aw.
I stopped caring whether he signs or not long time ago but this is getting beyond ridiculous now. Massive disruption to our tilt at the flag.
