It appears Brisbane may have to trade fullback Mal Michael or flexible key-position player Daniel Bradshaw next week to avoid a salary-cap crisis
Its about time the Lions had to offload players.

How did you come to the conclusion that Mal is a good bloke ?? A good bloke wouldnt hold the club to ransom after the retirement of Gavin Brown.
What a joke it would be trading Scot Burns a Collingwood champion through and through and then recruiting an arrogant bastard like Michael.
Scotland is gone for sure but we better get something decent for him.

Funny about that, a little blonde Canadian birdie told me he couldn't say no to the $1M over 3 years and that was the real reason he went.JLC wrote:Id rather play 1 man short than get that toss bag back.

maybe a stack of them think 'premierships are nice but show me the money" and think if i don't cash in now i never will. some of them are looking at solomon asking 400,000 and thinking 'shit!' hacks like that are getting big bucks and what am i getting? premiership medallions don't get you much in the real estate market these days. there are an awful lot of them still uncontracted

the ageReports from Brisbane suggest Michael could be the victim of the Lions' salary cap dilemma, after the club spent most of the past week unsuccessfully trying to secure deals for a host of uncontracted stars including Nigel Lappin, Luke Power, Martin Pike, Robert Copeland, Alastair Lynch, Craig McRae and Daniel Bradshaw.
