Chocko has put in a storming late run, but would still give the award to Akermanis for his season-long consistency of Toolishness or is it Toolness, Tooldom???

Any thoughts on correct term?

I was thinking, u realise Stevens can nominate for the pre-season, demand a expensive contract of one year for anyone who tries to pick him up and in that contract it stipulates that after one season he must be traded to collingwood, no one takes it up because they don't want players who don't wanna play for their stripes and we get him in the pre-season anyway?

Anyone got the rules?

If he did something too stupid we could be investigated and lose out ala Chalmers in 96(?). We tried to act tough last year with Nick Davis (what is it about Nicks....) and we all thought - "stuff Sydney let him go in the draft" this was also the noises that were coming from Ed and MM but in the end we gave him away for nothing but a 2nd rounder.

Remember how Coco tried to play MM's finals mind games this year after MM did last year. Don't be surprised to see a similar plagiarised performance from the Teal Tosser and see him give Stevens away to us for our 3rd round pick + our former Shop Manager + half a dozen Viagra pills, a 1997 Ansett Cup Semi-Final Football Record and a bottle of Metho.

If we miss out - big deal - i'm so over this whole thing. If we get him, ok, but he may turn out to be a no better acquisition than A. Williams.

Why do you all care whether we get Stevens or not.... Far out, everyones acting like he's superman...

If we get him, and get him at a reasonably decent trade/price, good, if not, we've made the last two GF's without him.

I'd be chasing a ruckman and/or forward.... but i've stated this in about 600 other threads.

Because if we don't get him Carlton may get him for free, throw in Digby and teague and those bastards may be out of their hole quicker then we know it. I enjoy seeing those scumbags suffer

I dont agree with the subject of this thread it should be "Mark Williams: Tool of the century (and many more to come)" but I would like to Stevens go to Carlton just so Port get nothing for him so they can look like fools!!

I think he made the right decision. Would you rather face a carlton team with Stevens or a collingwood team with Stevens and get a 2nd tier player??

Without Stevens in their team, and with Wangeneen and Francis on the wrong side of 30 they wont be entertaining too many thoughts of September Glory. Also, Cam thats precisely what several people here thought when Williams stated he wanted two first round draft picks. The guys like Anthony Mundine squaring off against Lennox Lewis. All talk and bravado but when it comes to the crunch he gets given the killer punch.

Worst case scenario is Stevens goes into the draft and is picked up by western ingrates or pure filth. Puts high price on head and only signds for 1 season and states in contract if not happy at end of year can be traded to club of choice, and that my friends is completly legal
