Putney Magpies

Guys and Gals,
just to let you all know that training is starting on Tuesday the 6th of April for the Putney Magpies Aussie Rules Teams.
Training is at Hyde Park meet at 18.30 at speaker corner.

We need new players for both the Putney Magpies (BARFL Premier) and Barnes Magpies (BARFL Conference) teams so all are welcome. If you are interested or know of anyone who fancies a kick this season please let me know ASAP by emailing putneymagpies@hotmail.com . All abilities are welcome and we need both EU and Aussie players (and anyone else of course).

The season kicks off on April the 24th with the pre-season cup and then our first league match is on the 2nd of May on Clapham Common against the Wandsworth Demons and Clapham Demons respectively.

We are also looking out for people to help coach the team and also anyone who is interested in lending a hand with the running of the teams.

Anne has been working hard to get us sponsorship and a deal or 2 will be announced very soon.

More details will follow soon regarding the launch party on the 21st in Putney, its going to be big..

Finally I would like to say welcome to all the new Collingwood London Supporters who have joined us since the Oval game. Sorry I haven't said hi before but have been snowed under. Its going to be a good year with the two teams in the BARFL and the Pies finally off the mark against the doggies today with a spirited 2nd half come back so GO PIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
