The Pies stood up and counted themselves to be the genuine article last night. Our young brigade of Midfielders and
and forwards came together with purpose and determination.
We have beat what I considered the best in form side of the competition, at home which when all things considered carry such an advantage over there, i liken this victory to beating an Essendon an over here. I think our next step is to capitalise and continue to learn the finer art of putting teams away on the scoreboard. Also its crucial that we take adantage of the fact we are going to be playiing some teams in poor form. This is the time to build our advantage and not to fall into the trap of thinking the hardwork has been done....Lets not rest on this good result pies......And good on to Rocca who stepped up....I knew all things being equal at Collingwood he is the difference to us winning or losing. Leon Davis was also sensational being at the right place at the right time. I hope rumours are not founded that he is unhappy at Collingwood as supporters love him and I dont doubt he will become a favorite....
Also consider we still need Rich, burns, Rintoul, and Adkins who will push for selection over the next few weeks......
