I heard yesterday that Collingwood is chasing Josh Hunt(geelong) with plenty of gusto, and has made an offer to Melbourne for a 2 player package, which includes Cameron Bruce and Darren Jolly. Jolly is suposedly very pissed off with Jeff White and finds it hard to get along with him. Fairly good source but still only a rumour.

This would not be a bad trade. I would imagine that we would not have to give up a lot to get Hunt as he has had an average year. If that was the case, he would be worth a put. May become a much better player in a new environment.
I would imagine we would have to give up a bit to get Bruce but it would probably be we worth it as he is a very good player. I would also think that Jolly should come cheap as his season has probably been below average. If we were to get Jolly as our second ruckman, what would happen to Fraser?

Yh that Josh Hunt rumour may have some legs, Mick was ranting and raving about how good josh hunt was whilst commentating the Geelong finals this year. So obviously he rates him very highly as a player. His kicking skills are fantastic something we desperately need.

I would take Josh Hunt. He is consistent when his not injured. But hopefully those shin problems are behind him now. 22-23 and still able to be moulded. I would like to see bruce in B&W but how we get him and what we have to give up is another matter. As for Jolly, a bit of an unknown. However so was Clement. IF the right deal was struck I would have no problems with a deal such as this.

Isn't he the same Josh Hunt we drafted then traded to Geelong back in the mid - late 90's?

Daniher said tonight on before the game the Bruce will stay a demon.

Daniher has to say that. What else is he going to say?

I like the idea. IF (big if) we got Jolly, it would free up Richards to be swapped for Dal Santo. Although Jolly is injury prone.

Hunt would be great. O'Bree + a second rounder?

Jolly would enable Richards and himself to do the ruck duties changing off the bench and fraser could go forward where I think he would be at his best. Put Rocca to CHB.(just a thought) Cameron Bruce in the middle and play Bucks as a half back half forward as needed as this will prolong his glorious career.
Hunt would take the kick in duties which would free Clemments marking strength up for recieving kick ins

Who do we give up for Jolly? O'Bree? Swan?

They'd both fit in perfectly and although most of this stuff never comes true, it think this romour has grown legs in the past week.

I think McGough and our first round pick for Bruce and Jolly sounds fair to me. Chuck O`Bree in for good measure.

First round and a bit player for Bruce will not be enough - but we can trade an established midfielder, ie. O'Bree if we get Bruce, and I think it'd be a good deal, O'Bree and draft pick for Bruce. I don't think we need Jolly, depends on what you think Davidson is going to do. I doubt Rocca would do well at CHB anmore, not mobile enough and we shouldn't need him there (shouldn't as long as J. Cloke steps up).

I can see a forward line of
Tarrant Rocca (Davidson / Didak / Davis)
Buckley Cam Cloke (Fraser / Richards / Davidson etc. )
Being highly effective without Jolly needed to rotate through the ruck.
