LOL, did a bit of research there, mate? Hehe.
Yeah, he played alritght the other day. I would like him in B&W. I expect that MM and co. will be putting in an offer. If they don't, they are silly.

You know how it is around here Joel. Trying to lead by example and not tread on anyone's toes...

He has always come off the bench at Brisbane (don't know if that's due to lack of fitness or lack of opportunities) but his 2003 form was cr@p (don't even know if he made the GF team - got suspended in the QF vs us). After impressing early in his career as a burst player, his form waned and I thought he was going nowhere. But he has found form this year and he takes risks and takes on opponents, something we need. He is a super baulker and noted goal kicker (especially on the run from outside 50m). Start him on the ground and he could be a future star. I think we should go after him.

Notting would be a major coup. Only positives can come out of it. His midfield role diminished/disappeared with emergence of Power and so had to settle for "roles" forward/mid. With Black Ack Lappin etc midfield role would seem a while yet. Matthews prefered McCrea as a starter to Nottting (maybe only sees him in limited perspective) Definitely worth pursuing with lure of more prominant midfield responsibilities. Runs hard, tackles hard, and can kick goals. No need to wait for maturing youngsters. Worth pick 7 and more.

I am not sure he is worth pick #7 but at the risk of raising the ire of some of the posters on here would definitely like a swap for Ryan Lonie. I can see Notting playing a similar game but is harder at the ball.

I would swap pick seven for Notting, Bruce or Ball and since Barney was so upset when O`Bree left he can have him back for free.

With an aging side the lions will have no choice but to offer notting a carrot.
Strike him off he will stay.

Well, we should offer two carrots. And throw in an onion!

He looks to be a great player but the only concern is that he has so many great midfielders around him, it may make him look better then he actually is (i.e. Headland).
Because of that, i would be very wary of trading pick 7 for him. I'd trade our 2nd pick and a fringe player. Much less of a risk

Out of our 'Tradeables' list, who is Brisbane going to want from us?
Notting is a gun for them now and with their aging list, if they have any sense he would go into their untouchable list. He will take the place of Voss when he exits the Fab 5 in a year or so. Looks a bit too hard to achieve for us.
