Was just reported on Ch 10 news that Mick was in negotiations with Travis Johnstone's manager.

I think he would be a great pickup. has an abundance of untapped talent.

When was the last time the Pies finalized a deal with one of Ron Joseph's clients?

Eddie did interview Joseph during the Krakeour report on Channel 9/60 Minutes. Maybe Eddie slipped in a few good words at the same time...

We can only hope that this rumor has some substance but after last year I certainly won't be getting my hopes up

me either - Joseph doesn't like us for some reason. But it'd be a nice pick up.

Mick also said that of the players we're rumored to be after, we aren't actually after any of those that have been mentioned.

That sounds a bit depressing, though hope he is just being cagey. I was looking forward to a list with Bruce or Johnstone, Ball or Dal Santo......, maybe Kerr thrown in as well with ..........aahh

Sadly, I think this rumour would be false.

Of all the players they mentioned last night on Channel 10 and Fox Footy with the glorious Tiff Cherry (YUMMY!!), the one that grabbed my attention was Daniel Kerr. Bugger the thoughts of Bruce, Johnstone, etc. If Collingwood want to make waves, target Ball and Kerr......good inside players with pace.

If we could get Kerr - we would not need Ball or TJ.

Kerr is tougher and faster than Ball and TJ and would be a better choice.

Tony Jewell is slow and will only be remembered for his stoush with Percy Jones.

I don't think you should use the word 'substance' in a positive topic about Travis Johnstone. HE'S GIVEN UP I TELL YA - he's thrown the cones away, taken down the fluro lights in his wardrobe and destroyed the bongs... ;)
