Kane Tenace to Pies?

Post by Culprit »

Another rumour running around the traps is Tenace for our pick 7. Cats then give both first round picks for Ottens. I have heard the same rumour from 3 different sources so I posted it. Will be interesting.

Nonsense. If Geelong were willing to trade Tennace then they would trade him direct to Richmond (+16) for Ottens. The quesion is whether they are willing to pay that price for Ottens.

I'd be VERY happy with this one.

Tenace will be a gun, make no mistake.

He's certainly better than whoever we'd get with Pick 7 this year, so I say go for it.

Doesn't seem too far fetched at all either.

well the Tigers want two first round draft picks or a player and a first round pick.

The other rumour I head is Ottens to Pies for Shaw & pick 7.

Ottens is too tall for the lexus centre. He will never fit in. Guy Richards already has a bad back from crouching over the modern facilties.

Would be great for us if it was true but one never knows.

Geelong desparately need a tall forward whereas they probably have other players in the similar mould of Tenance.

Whichever way they see it they will need to trade something good to get something good.

Pick 7 for Tennace. Done.

If we could pull that off not only do we get a young midfielder who fits the criteria we desperately need, but it also takes the guesswork out of the draft were there is always a possibity of failure.

If members post is correct and we have been approached for this scenario, we would be mad not to jump at it.

Tell me your kidding scooby and maggie. Tennace no good and Hunt for pick 7?

Either way I think there is a very strong chance they will trade Kane. They desperately need a tall forward and have an abundance of young, speedy midfielders (Bartel, Moloney, Wojinski etc) to complement the likes of Ling, Corey and Milburn.

They need to get there hands on a top 10 pick. Bartel would be giving too much, Moloney and Wojinski wouldn't warrant enough, therefore Tennace is the obvious option.

Sure on face value it would appear a bit of a loss for them, but in terms of team balance they are making a win.

Big opportunity, I just hope we swoop before someone like the Dogs (pick 6) or Hawthorn (pick 5) decide they want him.

Pick 7 for Tenace would be a good deal for us, he is exactly the type of player we need. The Dogs have stated that they are not interseted in trading pick 6
