Blake Grima for Matty Lokan

Post by 3rd degree »

Word is mean Dean Laidley is sick of Grima's poor attitude and was very impressed with Lokan' s sprinting efforts at the GF and wants him out on a wing in space at arden st. Don't know much about Grima would he be worth the punt? I'm sure Noel " NATH" Judkins will know something? Let's hear it?

Why would we want him, if he has a poor attitude?

He played 2 games this year, and has a career high of 11 disposals.

Grima played fairly well in the Port Melbourne team that lost the VFl Grand Final, he's a solid type but I'm not sure we'd be looking at investing in something along those lines.

At only 80kg, he's a little under developed and I'd much rather see us utilising the likes of McGough, Nixon and Shack then importing a 2 game midfielder from another club.

That said, I also think that we could get more for Lokan than a player of Grima's ilk. Seriously speaking, Lokan would be an automatic selection in the Kangaroos 22, essentially replacing David King, just think of the similarities, whereas Grima would be a fringe player in our top 26 players.......food for thought there.

Take it for sure.

Lokan has nothing more to offer, whereas Grima looks neat and is only young (I know Loks is too but he's shit, so shh).

I'd take it for sure.

Lokan can be a gun if given a set position. Geez you guys forget his 1st year impact in 2003...

If Laidley don't want him, I don't want him. He's a good judge of character.
Get back on top.

Don't forget either, Lokan can play down back, down forward, and for bursts in the middle.

Look I want Lokan to stay he is a reasonably reliable kick for goal and is handy as a decoy forward at times, he also tagged lappin well in the 2003 QF. Maybe that shampoo has kept his receding hair together, that's wny is smiling and is he yet to resemble a later day Jason Dunstall as of yet. Let's see his locks in the first wizard cup game.

I know blake grima and he's a g\really good player. he'd be a great player for the team. He has some good skills...he's just been a bit unfortunate with some injuries...he has got a good work ethic and i'd pick him over lokan any day!!we need someone with skills and he'd be a goood asset for the team especially in the midfield. he's hard at the ball and is said to be in the mould of burnsy or stevens
