Trade Developments.

Sports Tonight just reported Bombers after Zantuck and Crows trying to get Dew from Power. It was also said that Hawthorn cannot match the 3 year deal offered to Smith by us.

Reports everywhere that a deal is hatching for Joel Smith.
Just wondering why we have to give Hawks anything. If he goes to PSD,
Richmond take Simmonds
Hawks pass (otherwise they would have matched our offer)
Dogs - would they take Smith for 350k?
Us.

Would only trade if they are reasonable. Otherwise give them didly squat and take him in PSD.

The Hun is reporting the following:
BRAD Ottens' wish to become a Cat is expected to be granted by today's trade deadline.

A complicated deal that would send the Richmond big man to Geelong has been agreed to in principle.

It is understood the last piece of the Ottens' deal hinges on young Geelong midfielder Brent Moloney agreeing to move to Melbourne.

The Cats would receive the Demons' No. 12 national draft pick in exchange for Moloney and, in turn, send that selection and No. 16 to Richmond.
In other trade developments yesterday:

PORT Adelaide premiership player Josh Carr moved to Fremantle in exchange for picks 11, 27 and 43.

MELBOURNE ruckman Darren Jolly transferred to Sydney for first-round selection No. 15.

HAWTHORN'S Joel Smith was considering a lucrative three-year deal from Collingwood.

FREMANTLE was hoping to do a three-way deal involving ruckman Troy Simmonds going to Richmond in exchange for pick No. 20 which the Dockers would then on-trade to St Kilda for Heath Black.

THE Demons snared West Coast youngster Paul Johnson, a former Dandenong Stingray key position player, for pick 29.

BRISBANE'S 2002 premiership player Aaron Shattock looks likely to move to Port Adelaide in exchange for a second-round pick.

ESSENDON moved closer to securing Tiger defender Ty Zantuck with a second-round selection.

Dew won't leave the ower to go to the Crows. Whats the point? If I were the Crows I wouldn't bother.

It (Lekkas) is meant to be part of a 5 way deal. Could we be involved with Morrison?
