The MCG has been declared a National Disaster Area after excessive and oppressive flooding from the Hawthorn-Sydney game on Saturday left the surface four feet under and fittings in the stands floating away. Bizarrely, this only added to the aforementioned game as a spectacle.
AFL Chief Commissioner "Shotgun" Wayne Jackson arrived at the ground to declare it a Disaster Area and then absconded to his farm to tend to his peanut vines. Said "Shotgun" Jackson afterward at a Press Conference held by Pee-Wee Journalists from Milbury Primary School, "This never would have happened at our new state-of-the-art mega superstadium the Colonic. The roof stops the potentiality of any hydro-threat."
When one of the Pee-Journalists, Timmy Tomkins, pointed out that the flooding occurred from within the Stadium and thus a roof would have done nothing, "Shotgun" Jackson feigned seeing a pig drive a tractor and ran away while the Pee-Wee Journalists were looking for it.
The Collingwood-Brisbane Match, which was scheduled for the MCG on Sunday the 15th of July is expected to be moved to the Oval behind Thomastown Secondary College, (nee Thomastown High School).

Well, that suits me as I only live a couple of minutes away from that Oval! I won't even have to drive or catch a train.
