First of all, I'd like to say that Freeborn is the softest player I've ever seen in my life. Watching him "chase" and TRY to "tackle" is the most frustrating thing I have ever had to repeatedly watch in my life. No sh*t, his chasing and tackling remind me of an under 8's girls basketball game! YOU ARE SOFT MATE!!!!
Overall today, the whole team was pretty poor. I think Anthony Rocca was our best not because he had a huge impact on the game but when the ball came near him, he generally won his contests which not many other players on the team can boast today.
There were a lot of players who played well in patches (eg, Davis, Fraser, O'Bree, Clement) but they also seemed to make some really REALLY poor skill errors and just bad decisions.
I CANNOT understand why it took 6 goals for Malty to move Richardson off Barker. I hate Barker SOOOOOO much and it was so painful to sit there today with my best friend who goes for Hawthorn next to me and watch that unco-ordinated piece of crap tear us up. Richo is on the slide BADLY, I would even go as far as dropping him this week and giving Kinnear another run.
So I'll just finish by saying that if they don't drop Freeborn for Burns this week, I'm gonna personally make the trip down to Viccy park to drum it into the selectors heads.

You're entitled to express your opinion, but I wish you'd put a bit more thought into the title of your thread.
In your post you raised a number of points about several players. Rocca. Freeborn. Richardson. Fraser. O'Bree. Davis. Clement.
So why single out Freeborn in your headline?
If you think Freeborn is soft, that's your call. But I don't think there is any such thing as a "soft" footballer at A.F.L. level. Gutless squibs simply don't make it in the big league and Freeborn has the score on the board for mine.
As for Old Man Richo ... he had a shocker yesterday. No argument there. But I just felt he looked completely out of sorts. As if he was suffering from an illness or something. I'd be inclined to almost forget he went round yesterday. He is a MUCH better player than that.
There's nothing wrong with having a whinge when the team plays badly, Digs. But I really find that screaming headline about Freeborn being soft extremely destructive ... counter-productive. Try something a little more general instead of putting one player up for public ridicule. What do you want to do ... put Glenn Freeborn in the stocks on Hoddle Street and throw tomatoes at him?
Ask yourself, what are you trying to achieve by that sort of headline.

Well Alf, that has to be one of the most constructive comments you've ever made in relation to me. I don't know if you remember me but we had a few heated arguments on the board last season. Anyway, I understand what you're saying but you have to to this one thing for me. Next week, if he is still in the team, watch Freeborn when an opponent has the ball within 20 metres of him. I wouldn't say this if it just happened once or if it was only a couple of weeks but this has been frustrating me about Freeborn from mid last year. All I was doing with that headline was venting my frustration at weak his tackling and chasing is. You know what I mean?
