Dammit it to hell !

Post by AlfAndrews »

I just got home and put on the TV ... and what did I see?

Every bloody year they trot it out.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

Why wasn't the mark paid to Potter just before Breen kicked THAT point?

Why didn't Tuddenham go for a run when he took possession on the outer side with no player within cooee of him?

Damn.

I saw it again ... for the three thousandth time ... and the result is still the bloody same. You'd think, after 35 years, the result would have changed.

DAMN !

DAMN !

DAMN !

Why wasnt't wayne harmes pinged for being out of bounds and throwing the ball???? Why was Blighty paid the mark after the siren????Why did the goal umpire award a point when it clearly came off a field umpires leg????

These ????? will never be answered. However, not long ago Harmes was guest speaker at our local AFL club. And we all went in our Collingwood gear(of course). He gave speech and then asked if there were any questions. My Dad got up and before he could ask a questions Harmes answered: YES I WAS OUT AND YES I THREW THE BALL AND YES WE WON THE GRAND FINAL...

For god"s sake get over it. Its in the past and we have one of the brightest, if not the brightest futures as a football club.
We all no we were robbed in those finals, not to mention all the home and away games we should have won if not for umpires that forgot to take their guidedogs out on to the field with them. It's in the past so lets get ready for 2002 and we'll show the bastards exactly what our players can do. Don't forget to get in early and pay membership renewals and try to recruit new members. Maybe we can beat Essendon at that before we give them a hiding on the field.<IMG SRC="http://" border=0>

Re: Harmes and his story.

Wayne Harmes has stated on many occassions that he changes his story according to who is asking the question. By identifiying yourself as one of the "chosen ones" (Pie supporter) he gave the "yep it was out and you was robbed" version.
Had you been Carlscum people he would have said "Ball was in and we won it fair and square".

'Course it was out!!!
The ball had red paint from the train in the railyard as it went by and bumped it back with Harms' reach.
