Just a general warning to all chatters that you may think you are having a private conversation, even when that conversation is forced on you, but the powers that be check your every word.
No such thing as a private chat log on our system. Private chats are private unless one of the participants changes that. No powers that be can eavesdrop on private chats.
It should be kept in mind though that IRC clients, used by chatters, such as MIRC or Pirch can log all conversations.
Private chats are private unless one of the participants changes that.
Thank you Mike. I'm sure that I can now count on you as an expert witness in my coming fight not to have a yellow issued.
As you say there is no such thing as a private chat log I can only assume that the conversation reported to the mods is a fake, made up with no actual evidence to support it.
Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be calling on your expertise very shortly.
It takes two to chat, and if one side decides to record the conversation, they can do so. They can simply use Print Screen. It doesn't take any more technology than that.
And if the other side decides to become particularly abusive, then its easy to record that abuse and report it to the Mods.
And if the first side is offered the chance to apologise for that abuse instead of copping a yellow card, why wouldn't they take that up?
