Well, I must admit that after a few beers I don't really recall the speeches word for word! But I think he basically said he was happy to be back in Vic and close to his family. This year has been one of his best in football. He thanked his family, team-mates, all the coaching and fitness staff, also mentioning great players like Rowdy and Darren Millane.
He spoke so well that when Tazz got up to accept his goal-kicking award he didn't think there was much he could say after Jarrod's fantastic speech!
And I have to say that after having the opportunity to say hi to Jarrod on Friday night, he is such a lovely guy and it's fantastic to have such a passionate person and player at the CFC.
Well done Jazz.
GO PIES!

Jarrod actually said it was the best thing that's ever happened to him and that it has been his most enjoyable year in football. (Imagine how he would have felt if he won the Copeland as well!) I picked him to win the Darren Millane award - after all he is our toughest player.
I asked him if he would have played in the Grand Final if he stayed at Brisbane and he said yes because he never played in the reserves. He also said he doesn't regret his decision at all
(and that was before he won the award.)
We don't regret his decision either.
