now Shaws reign of unskilled midgets..wild,godden,crow,etc are over players such as Watto,ex Vic rep at half back,33 goal half forward in 98,a great effort in a team devoid of any game plan, should be able to take there rightful place in the seniors. He is extremely hard at the ball,a mid size player and has good skills.Guts and detrmination are qualities needed in country footy,a place shawrys talents as a coach may be appreciated.By the way a great swap..unskilled midget..king for big man with potential..mckee.MM is a true pro, trust his judgement for he will be the next Collingwood premiership coach.

well said crud!
malthouse is the best thing to happen to Collingwood in years....
mckee will be a star ruckman...
ukovic will be a champ for us - mark my words..
we have finally gotten rid of the hacks in our team, which will make way for the players that are AFL standard and deserve to wear the mighty Collingwood jumper!

i agree about ukovic - he's a bloody good pickup. it'll be interesting to see what MM does with watto, who knows he might go back to half-back and star like he did in his first couple of seasons. that'd be great to see - the guy's had some rotten luck. he's been knocked out more times than any other player in league history i reckon.

Watson can stay in the twos.

Mick Malthouse has made 2 mistakes.

One, he swapped King for McKee.

Two, he forced Monkhorst out. If Monkhorst playes 50 games elsewhere, those strapping young sons of his may go to the other club under the father and son rule.

George, i guess you rate King higher than most people in the AFL - the Swans weren't terribly worried to see him go. Neither should Collingwood be. kings type of player is easily replaced big men aren't so easily replaced but Monkey has well and truly past it. Injuries have taken their toll on a once great player of the club, its sad to see him go, but those decisions had to be made now.
Even if McKee turns out to be nothing great a 'nothing great' big man is better than a 'nothing great' small man which King is.
