You're joking! Only 61 yo. Thommo was a legend, very sad indeed. Revolutionised the way ruckmen play. Think Fraser / Moore ,but way ahead of his time.
Condolences to his family. The Collingwood family in general will rally I'm sure. What did he die from? Was he ill?

A true Collingwood champion, was no better ruckman going around when Len was at his best.

Fond memories of watching him towel up ruckman after ruckman, week after week at Victoria Park and the suburban VFL grounds. Used to regularly take the big scalps of Moss, Dempsey, Diterich, Nicholls, Scott et al.

i received an SMS straight after it was announced on SEN. I still don't believe it.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

May the boys do it for him on Friday and for all the great legends that have gone before.

Vale Len Thompson, Collingwood great and all round top bloke. I will always remember him as a true legend of the game and life. Best wishes to his family and friends.
