Chance to get our season on track over the next 3 weeks against two sides who fancy their chances against our team.

Swans in particular are notorious for staging last quarter comebacks just like Footscray last Sunday. If we can hold a lead against them we will go a long way to stopping these run ons.

Melbourne, on the other hand are still skiting about how they should have beaten us in round two. It was in fact a solid 1 point win against a side that gave up a 2 goal lead.

Come on Magpies - solid five goal win!

Last week was a mere warm up. I predict an 85 point win. Go Pies.

DANGER GAME !!

Need to be focused and not take the Dee's lightly a second time around... TBH I think we will have learned our lesson from round 2 and should put in a solid 4 qtr effort.

We played the Bulldogs in Round 1 and won by six goals, before Ricky Peterd had a day out only to drop that crucial mark in the dying seconds in Round 2.

NOt sure why our intensity at the ball carrier dropped off for the Geelong and lions game. Also players shirking contests.

After the Doggies game I will say we are back on track all bar that last 1/4 wherein the players seemed to drop that intencity and Doggies pushed hard.

Intensity for 4 quarters against the Dees and we should win by 30+.

If not better start growing your nails!
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Need to close down their free flowing run through the middle. Pressure needs to be solid. Pressure their HB rebound and we should be able to score plenty of goals from turnovers. I think the Dees a suseptable to it.

Cale Morton and Davey are the two that will need to be pressured.

I wonder if we give Buckley an opportunity against his old Club?

I agree - I would rest BJ regardless (give him two weeks off, he's due) and I reckon Buckley might be a good replacement for him.

And I'd probably drop Medhurst - while his forward pressure was top notch he was no where to be seen offensively, I'd give Rounds a go, or Lockyer (MM wants to bring him in at some point and I agree, no point having a depth player who has forgotten AFL tempo).

God I hope we beat them, they have shown they can stand up against us and almost taking a perverse pleasure in doing so in a random fashion.

I hate the silvertailed little snow bunnies.

At least Carlscum fans can tell you a bit about the game, it's proud history, the names of a couple dozen current players; the Melbourne inbred/overbred fanbase can't even name their own bloody players, thats if they bother to watch them in between scotches up in the MCC.
