I've haven't wanted to win so bad since the return bouts against the Bummers and blews last year. This game is so much more than the 4 points

Hanging out for this one, like Franki, I haven't wanted to win this bad for awhile.
We NEED to tackle and run hard and take our opportunities this time around. Clearances will be vital, and we must play on at every chance.
I think we will be really switched on for this game. And i don't know why but im feeling confident.

Out : Cloke
In : Medhurst

If Maxwell is fit he comes in for Cloke, JA goes to FF and switches at intervals with Dawes as CHF.
I think Medhurst deserves an opportunity and will be fired up for a big one. Plus I think an extra small forward might be handy.

Medhurst for Cloke, JA out for Macaffer. Still leaves Dawes and L Brown up forward, but would mean Jolly would have to ruck most of the game (not necessarily a bad thing). Dawes would have to play more of a CHF role.

The key to this game wont be the forwards, it will be the midfield (as usual) and how we can deliver the ball into our forward line. If it's fast and accurate, Blair could take ten marks, if it's slow and wide, Jonathon Brown would struggle, let alone Cloke.

If Maxy comes in you would think Goldsack would miss, but I'd be tempted to bring Maxy back through the twos to give him a run - the important thing is to beat the Saints in September, not July.

Woohoo! Live into S.A.! Appreciate Channele Ten more than Seven as they show more live games. Even Sunday's game into S.A. is delayed by hour and a half, even though it's Richmond v North. Like a lot of us I absolutely hate delayed coverage. BTW Footy Flashbacks is been shown before the Sunday game!? Glad not a Pies game! Anyway I'll stop whinging and gear up for Saturday. If I knew how to stream and so I wouldn't get caught I would do it for the people who are getting it delayed

I think the boys will be up for this game.
It will be interesting to see the forward half function without Cloke - In our previous round 3 encounter we didn't manage to kick a goal during the second half. We didn't kick one in the first quarter last week either - regardless of circumstances - it's a concern.

Still, IMHO we controlled the last game for 90% of general play [They just managed a lucky 5min burst of 4 goals in the final quarter from memory].
We're an improving outfit and I believe we can win Saturday afternoon.
