I told the Mrs that I was about to do to her what Collingwood just did to her team.
I got a slap in the face.

All over in the 2nd quarter, went through the motions after half time. Should have won by more. Happy to take the points. Good to see Jolly back.

Before the season is out I would just once like to see us rip the oppositions balls off when we have hold of em instead of giving them a tickle.

Did the minimum required to beat a Hawks reserves side, nothing more.....second gear all day.

The much hyped Hawthorn game plan- one designed to beat the press was smashed to pieces by Collingwood's press. Next!
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

Did exactly what we should have done against an undermanned opponent. Only negative was some sloppy play towards the end but you could forgive them for that given garbage time started very early.

The big thing was intensity that at times was frightening to watch. They took away the Hawks' short kicking game by hunting in packs and looked to obliterate every Hawthorn ballcarrier in the first half with some of the most ferocious tackling you will ever see. No one in the league can stand up to that kind of pressure. No one.

From an individual standpoint the usual suspects all did their thing - and its interesting that those idiots on this board who were bagging Swanny earlier have suddenly gone silent - but for me the man today was Ben Reid, who was simply awesome. I've been saying for a while now that this kid is one of the best defenders in the game, and today further enhanced that view. He's an outstanding football player.

The scary thing for the rest of the league is that this team is still nowhere near their best form. But now with Jolly back and looking to wreak havoc, they'll just get better and better, and it's going to take a very special performance to beat them.
I, for one, welcome our new black and white overlords

Any updates on Cloke and Dawesy's injuries? I'm unable to flick on the TV or radio right now.

Hawks looked panicky all game. Their short kicking was abysmal and got them into more trouble than if they went long. Was surprised how often their one key forward roamed outside of the F50.

We were sloppy at times, but pressed so often that it was inevitable that we would kick enough goals to win well.

Our best tackling and intensive pressure game this Season.

Pretty much agree with everyone else's assessments too :)
