I'm trying to find some info online on this great player & can't get anywhere. Could some helpful soul please post his dob, if he played any games in the '91 season (memory tells me no, but I'm not sure), the date of his passing & any other useful info to help me refine my search? I would really appreciate help. Feel free to email me this info if you prefer.
Thanks muchly,
Greg Potter
Darren Millane; a query
Moderator: bbmods
Darren Millane died on the 7th October, 1991, a year and a day after his greatest triumph. He played 149 games. Came from Dandenong Redlegs, where he was their youngest ever captain. Originally from Noble Park, where he played with Darren Bennett. The book is called "Pants", and I think Greg Hobbs had something to do with the writing of it, but I'm not sure. Don't waste your time with the Millane video, has about three highlights repeated ad nauseum.
A champion. At 35, wouldn't be long out of the game had he not died.

Hi GREGP
Darren Millane was born on Sunday August 9 - 1965. He played 18 games in 1991. Career total games were 147. All the statistics are in the book PANTS. It was written by Eddie McGuire and Jim Mann. I have a copy of it and will never part with it. I will be happy to help you with any other queries if I can.
