This game will serve as one of the few remaining opportunities to give Ball or anyone else a rest and allow a player like Sinclair to be retained for another week at least.

Young and J.Thomas both put there hands up in the VFL again as well.

Time to get serious and start blowing weak sides away by a little more than a pissy 74 points with a quarter and a half of footy. :P

Is this a Ch 10 Game?

Is there any point to this game? All we are doing is risking injury to players.

Pretty much a bonding trip for the boys with a full training run on Saturday night.

Oportunity to get Dids and Wellers an easy run back in the seniors.

First time ever in AFL history. 1st vs 17th!

Looking forward to another great game at AAMI, should be a cracker but hopefully its a bit of a contest, Sunday was so more enjoyable because the Essendon fans were so happy for about 2 1/2 qtrs, we want Port fans cocky before the demolition job :D

What Port fans? I'd be very surprised if 5000 of their mob rocked up on Saturday night.

Yes it is. Live at 7.30pm.

I really hope Dids comes straight back into the firsts, he loves AAMI and needs some touch.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ball get a rest, he came off with his knee iced after the Bombers game. Give the human battering ram's main weapon (himself) a week off for some R&R.

There's been no word on Wellingham either. Fingers crossed his groin injury isn't too bad. We need him match primed and full of confidence come September.

If there's room, it would be good to see Sinclair get a full game. He looked fairly impressive in his quarter and a bit of game time. With our potential ins, he may only get a game if we rest a few sore bodies though. Considering we've got 2 consecutive six day breaks, it may be prudent to do just that.

Wondering if Geelong played Port or Gold Coast as 1st vs 17th earlier in the year?

Geelong played Port in Rd 3, and so were 4th after rd2, as Collingwood was top from Rd2 thru Rd7, falling to 2nd after rd8.

Geelong played Gold Coast (1st time) in Rd 10, but Gold Coast were 15th coming into that round.

So, yes first time 1st v 17th in AFL history

We showed them that in Round 1.
I guess doing it again is OK, in case they didn't get it the first time :P
