Yep, Pretty much agree.
Although I think the following is still to be determined in the last few rounds.
1). Will Dawes have the form and fitness for finals? Maybe Wood will be a better option, if Dawes comes in and has crappy form, I wouldn't rule out Wood. Obviously the best option if he has OK form/comfidence.
2). Didak is no certianty. Form hasn't been great, but if injuries continue to be an issue, Fasolo, Buckley, Goldy are still a chance to be a better option. Not to take his HFF/FP role but allow the team to shuffle into his position. Injured players in finals is risky.

Surely you jest.
The form of Dawes was good enough prior to his injury to hold his place over Wood or any other option for the second tall forward role for that matter.
Leigh Brown for one will welcome his return as he's a much better player with Dawes in the team.
Cloke will also benefit from less focus placed on him.
In form or out of form he's vital to our forward structure and press.
Lead the league for the number of f50 tackles by a tall forward before injured.
Wood offers nothing as a forward.

^ I don't think you understand the angle of my point. My comment is based on Dawes' form when he comes back. Your assuming he will be in OK form. If so, fine. I'm suggesting, if his form is poor after missing 6+weeks, Wood may be a better option. I'll be watching his few final H&A weeks to see how he goes.
All things being equal, Dawes is in the best 18 and is a critical part of it. But missing so many weeks may have an adverse affect just prior to finals. Lets hope not.

P.S. Wood isn't great forward, but would allow Jolly and L.Brown to go forward more often and longer.
P.S.S. I think Dawes coming in and Wood out is the far more likely senario. Just pointing out a possibility.

i think Goldy could replace Harry ( out side chance )
Fasolo could replace Sharrod ( very unlikely but possible ) or even Krak
Blair is safe this week but - it is one week at a time.

^ What are you referring to?
Re: Blair, he cemented his spot last year, and apart from a couple of weeks has been good this year. Not sure why people are still questioning his place in the team. He has over 20 goals this year, which is very good for a small forward/midfielder.

Sorry, I was referring to thompsoc's post.
Blair has been great this year, and the only reason why he would miss the finals would be because we have far too many players in the one position.
However he has had a couple of high scoring games which will put him on the radar of other clubs, and will pull a better defender than a couple of the other pseudo half-forwards we have.

the problem is we have a lot of very good players and we can only play 22 at a time!

Goldy wont replace Harry O unless Harry gets injured, but just the same Goldy was very good on the weekend.

The Wee Man was never in doubt, surely? A star. We have our own Boomer Harvey.

Blairy is the Collingwood Aardvark. His last 2 games have been absolute rippers. He is like a"Luke Ball MKII". The way he burrows into those packs and fights like all hell makes me proud. He cops some massive knocks (in game) like Luke Ball as well, same as Luke, the ump swallows his whistle, no free! Fairdinkum, the work Luke Ball does for our club is enormous! TYRL
Depending on who we play if we make the Grand Final, the spots up for grabs are: Krak, Solo, Caff, and Goldy. Plus it'll also depend on injuries. The Pies were blessed last year with little to no injuries. Some competition between Krak and Solo I reckon. Both have their good points. Dawsey should have a couple of weeks before the finals to get game conditioning under his belt. He is massive to our structure.
Lets win another flag this year.
Go the Pies
Select players on form, and the rest will look after itself
