decent new TV series

Post by stui magpie »

Help. I'm looking for something to watch on TV.

I liked the new series on Sunday Terra Nova. Bit sci fi, I liked it.

Teen Wold was a series that started on 9 a few months back then vanished. i just watched the first episode again on fox 8, Like it.

Anything else decent on worth having a giggle at?

I rarely watch TV apart from Bloomberg and the footy, but I enjoyed Ice Road Truckers (original series with Hugh and Alex), Ax(e) Men and Pawn Stars on the History Channel here in Asia. Not sure if you've seen them or can access them, but I've enjoyed them.

In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

everyone was raving about Sons of Anorchy, but its not subtitles and i cant undferstand their accents, so i bought series 1 and 2 on ebay, just started watching yesterday on me treadmill, not overly impressed yet but i only watched 40 min, had to go to work.

The Slap looks quite interesting. My missus heard about it and has programmed it to tape on Fixtel.

I have also recently been watching a series called The Circuit which is based on the Aboriginal Legal Service in Broome. The theme is quite soap opera but the social aspect is quite confronting.

* Breaking Bad (on ABC 2), but download it and watch it from the start. Not bad.
* Boardwalk Empire (Foxtel). I download it.
* Game of Thrones (think it's on Foxtel). I haven't watch it yet, but apparently it is good. I have the first season, will prob start watching it tonight.

had a look at the plot for that "The Slap". Not interested.

Last TV series I watched all of and enjoyed on the ABC was Sweet and Sour.

Another vote for Breaking Bad.

About the only TV I watch is footy, I can't stand the ads, so I hire DVDs of TV shows. I agree with Joel - watch it from the start. It starts off good, and just gets better and better.

Stui, I remember Sweet and Sour - I even had a cassette of music from it once.

Breaking Bad would be the best show of the last decade.
Who thought Malcolm's dad could be like that?
