Disposal looks great, even under pressure. I'll bite my lip for now. In Hine I trust.

Poor bugger!! Nicks being Nicks, irrespective of how well he does, he will probably be seen as a spud by the usual all knowing suspects here, like they have done with many other players over the years........
Welcome to the mighty 'pies young man and wear that jumper with pride. Show them early what made you an attractive get for Collingwood.
I have faith in you.....

Good luck to him, welcome aboard.
Now just 2 ND picks and 2 RD picks left.

Hmmm. Still not convinced on him, but we'll have to trust Hine/Rendell I guess.

We seemed pretty keen so I shall suspend my judgement.

on face value would seem to be a long shot.
Originally was pick 58, so not considered a star as a junior. Is then delisted by 2 clubs by age 24, and has played 29 games in six years.
The recruiting department obviously sees something, but i don't see where any massive improvement can come from after six years in the system. Apparently is preferred to Kyle Martin or one of the other rookies for a place on team.

Like I said, the perfect player as the annual resident Nick's spud..........

best afield in the NEAFL grand final.
i wonder if it is simply an attitude thing and taking things for granted, coasting along thinking it will all just happened for him.

The only thing I can think of that they see in him is his kicking. Has supposedly elite disposal, if he can break into the 22 he will probably take the kick-ins. Is meant to be pretty quick too.
Time will tell if he is just another waste of a pick that could have been used to upgrade Martin...

Looking at the positives.... if Armstrong and Sinclair can take the small defender positions and make them their own, it does free up Marly Williams for a midfield tagging role.

if martin were an indigenous player he'd be upgraded by now. it's been alluded to that armstrong has been recruited to help fill our quota.
