unlike a vast many, i have always liked demetriou as ceo.

if rumour is true, and mclachlan takes the reigns, it will be interesting to hear how he sees the game and where it will head under his stewardship.

Eddie just said AD will resign as CEO at 10am, effective at the end of the season

Eddie McGuire on Triple M just confirmed that the 10.00 am presser will be where Demetriou announces his resignation. Ed reckons the resignation will be effective at seasons end.

I agree - I wont share the rapture of others. I think he's been a great steward of the game, even if I didn't agree with all decisions.

I have no doubt that his replacement will be equally odious, however.

I think the game is in a better spot now, than it was 10-15yrs ago.
