Jono O'Rourke to Pies?

Young Jono has been quiet in his non commitment to the GWS and decision ultimatum about coming home to Victoria. It has been widely alluded to on many websites that the Pies have struck an agreement with him. Do you think the Pies are playing ducks and drakes with Darcy Moore (pick 8) with the hope that he falls for a second round selection, thus freeing us up with pick 8 to go for O'Rourke??

PS: to all the nay sayers who say that O'Rourke is only worth a second rounder.... Well GWS won't tolerate that!

Reality is that GWS will be forced to deal on these uncontracted players who want out for whatever reason. It's either that or they risk losing them in the ND or PSD for nothing. I'm sure St Kilda and Melbourne would love to pick up a player like O'Rourke for nothing in the PSD.

Accord to the Age, it seems a few clubs are now chaseing him....

Hawthorn and St Kilda are among the clubs waiting on the decision of out-of-contract Giants onballer Jono O'Rourke on whether the former No.2 draft pick will seek a return home to Melbourne.

If they are after him, then he should be a priority as he must have great foot skills if they are even contemplating him.

Pharking Hawthorn everything falls into there lap.

They'll end up giving away pick 20 for a top 2 selection.

Beamer to GCS, 7 & 14 to Pies, 14 trumps their 20....

We might be able to trump them with two second round picks if we receive them as part of the Lumumba and Beams trade.

O'Rourke went pick 2 so must have shown something special at U18 level but how good he really is can be left up to others to debate as I know nada about him to be honest.

Brett Anderson on SEN suggested the Saints might trade Pick 1 for O'Rourke and Jaksh (sp?)

Shit, that would be a deal you'd do in a heart beat if you were the Saints.

Agreed. Why would GWS go for it?

GWS will go for it because 2 young victorian players have requested trades and want Petrecca

Has anyone even seen this guy play? 9 games in 2 seasons...injured?

Never even heard of him til now. Don't give a shit if was a 1st round or 2nd round pick. Has shown nothing to no one to prove he is worth anything.

Worth 3rd round, even if that.

Well said. Completely unproven at this level. Being bid for based on his draft pick order.
