Andrew Jarrman has broken news on Triple M Adelaide that Hawthorn coach, Alistair Clarkson has accepted an offer to become the coach of the Adelaide Football Club in 2015, which will be announced next Tuesday.
Came from one of the draft/trade pages on Facebook, but it's interesting move by Clarko if it's at all true that is. I suppose if it is true Kennett's going to finally be happy...

I more expect Clarko to retire. He looks very tired.

I thought Clarkson signed a contract extension this year or last?

Massive win if true but surely not.

I thought the same, swoop, I'd also have to question the credibility of Andrew Jarman there as well.

Absolute tosh. Didn't this happen last year with Clarko and the WCE job?

When did Clarko talk to Crows? In between training for the GF?

It was only Mike Sheahan who declared that Clarkson was heading to the Eagles last year.

I would be very surprised if the Crows poached Clarkson.

Clarko rejected it, well for now anyway it could happen but won't I wouldn't think.

I thought this would be interesting to see how it went after he was linked to the Eagles last year.

Clarkson said last year "anyone who really knows me understands I won't break a contract I don't believe in it"
He is paid well by the hawks but if the $1.4 million is accurate dang would be hard to bypass for any coach.
I don't see it happening he still has a few good years left in his current crop at the hawks and he has a knack of trading and drafting to keep them very competitive.
Also would you go to a club were 1 director and a coupe players opinions are so important they kill off a coach who appeared to be going okay

I don't reckon Clarkson would move. He has a great side at his disposal which he's built up for many years. He'll go down as the Hawks greatest coach if they can win today behind Kennedy and possibly Allan Jeans.

Absolute rubbish. Why would Clarkson want to leave the best job in footy for a feral supporter base? Mind you I'd take Clarkson at Collingwood in a heartbeat! :D
