We all know about him. Re-listed as a rookie after being de-listed.

I predict a break out season for TA. He will surprise by being in the seniors next season. Very talented footballer.

Welcome back. Can't see you getting too many games in 2015 but certainly add useful depth and some maturity to the VFL squad.

Disagree, he will be a senior player. Time will tell that I'm right!!

I don't know why we got him last year, or this year.

He is not going to be part of our premiership team, nor do I think he brings the qualities of experience or "know how" to assist the kids coming through.

Would have rathered to have given a another TAC kid a go or a mid aged VFL/SAFL/WAFL player, who showed a big step in 2014. We would have got better value in rookieing someone like Luke Ball or similar.

I'm not trying to bag they guy out, IMO he's had his crack and isn't up to the standard to take us forward. IMO a wasted selection.

With the hardness of players like Maynard and Abbott, I can't see Troy breaking back into the seniors. Nevertheless, good luck to him and I hope he proves me wrong.

Welcome back to Collingwood Tony Armstrong :)

Definitely deserved to be retained for another year after some impressive performances in the latter part of the season this year.

I don't expect him to play too many games if our injury list isn't extensive next year.

Well with Frost expected to be upgraded, an opportunity is there as we unfortunatly have a LTI going into 2015.

Was really pleased with what he was able to do for us when we needed him in the later part of the year. However it seems it's boom or bust for Tony this year. He would have to absolutely kill it on the track and in the VFL to force senior selection with a hopefully healthy list to choose from. I would expect to see him have his best preseason yet, as he would absolutely be feeling the pressure. As much as I liked what we saw from him, it's clear he has one role for this team and that is depth cover. Unfortunately, I can't see him going on with us past next season, but hopefully he can continue on with say a Melbourne or St Kilda where I believe he can offer something.

couldn't agree more. Assume he had a two year contract, so that is why he is still here. He's been around long enough now, (at three clubs), there is nothing left up his sleeve to produce now.
