Had our chances, and was good to see we matched or bettered them physically, but we should have won that game

Hate honourable losses, but I'll take that one.

We pretty much smashed them that game except on the scoreboard. Beating a bigger, older team in clearances, contested ball, tackles and contested marks is a brilliant effort. It's a loss but it's the best a loss can be without being a win.

Pendles was awesome and all of Crisp, Varcoe, Langdon, Williams very good. It's only his first game but Maynard made some costly mistakes, whereas Moore competed very well.

Losing games when you've had 5 more scoring shots are the hardest to accept.

The misses by Cloke, White and Fasolo have cost us the game.

That Cloke handball in the last changed the momentum when it was all ours.

The non performance by Elliott even worse.

Not interested in more honourable losses for the rest of the year.

Great game and outplayed them really except in finishing off. Good lessons for our young team. Dare I say it, beaten by our own inaccurate shots at goal. Outplayed them all night only to squander it from missing set shots. Same old story year after year. Need to improve our shots at goal.

Cloke, White and Fasolo - gotta kick straight guys.

Moore and Maynard - not to be harsh on debutants, but not ready in my book.

Elliott - quiet.

Pendles, Crisp and Sidebottom - all good. Crisp is bordering on elite.

Broomy and DeGoey - both doing enough to claim a spot in best 22.
