Tosser Ralph is reporting we are still chasing hard for Aish along with the Scum. Please oh please I hope we get our hands on this guy come season's end. Not only is he going to be a gun, but sticking it to those smug Lions after getting bent over last year would be the cherry on top.

Bonus: he can actually kick.

True. But if he's going anywhere other than SA, the lure of his good mates Grundy, Kennedy and Broomy is a pretty deciding factor.

And the fact that his childhood idol was the guy who currently coaches us.

Scharenberg is also apparently his best mate. They played in that SA side that won the Championships in 2013.

Most Lion fans I know are pretty confident he's gone and have already started to turn on him, I am not sure if he'd be a Pie but I'd almost be certain he won't be a Blue. I'd think he'd likely be at the Crows, but wouldn't mind him at the Pies.

Not a great contested footballer albeit his kicking would more than compensate for this weakness.

Aish or Weideman.

You decide.

How does 2016 look IF say Swanny retires, leaving salary cap space for Dangerfield, we can lure Aish, we have a fit Scharenberg, Freeman, DeGoey, Reid, Sidebottom etc and have another year in the youngsters. Patience is perhaps a good thing and it's a possibility that we could get both.

Nah, if we finish low enough on the ladder and carlton & Melbourne are sniffing around Aish with very early PSD picks, we can dangle our 2nd rounder for him.

No way we trade a top 5/6 for him , if that turns out to be our pick. I'd want Treloar for that pick.

One thing for certain is Lions will get screwed on this deal with Aish being out of contract......and I love it.

Beware the old man, a Scum chequebook, and brown paper bags ! Those corrupt Bluebellies still think its the 1980s, and will throw huge cash at this kid, lets hope his magpie mates can talk him around our way, sounds just what we need !

I heard here on SA radio (MMM: Rush Hour With Jars & Louie) that Aish is probably leaving and its not going to be either of the SA clubs but rather a Melbourne based club with a 'young list'

Great point. Last thing we want is to become a side with all the bang in our midfield and none in the forward line, like the Brions. Bar Gault and Moore, our future KP stocks are looking very thin. Though Aish would polish off the class our future midfield would be lacking IMO. We've been screaming out for them to draft a player who has skills, this kid is a crucial piece of that puzzle.

How is it that just because they lived in the same state and played one year of state under 18's together that they are automatically "good mates"? It's like saying just because two blokes come through a year of playing at Vic Metro they are good mates even though one grew up in Frankston and one grew up in Weribee but they played in 8 games of footy together so they are definitely good mates! It's a misnomer to think that just because you played in a footy side together for 8 games that you are automatically good mates. I'd put money on most, if not all of the Collingwood players having not spoken to Aish since they were drafted.
