That's a short piece, if I read that correctly, in California it's legal to possess or carry an ounce of dope. I'm not sure what the difference is between making it legal to carry/possess an ounce and decriminalising it which I think is already the situation for a similar amount in Victoria (may be wrong)

The big question is, where do you legally buy it? If they've only legalised carrying an ounce that doesn't suggest they've legalised growing or sales, which means the gangs and mobs and dealers are still involved, little diff to now.

The only way it will become fully legal in Aus with all the nanny state campaigners is if the government can regulate supply and tax it.

There was a hemp shop in downtown Denver Colorado,I took a pic of it. Right near the base ball stadium. Could explain their strange behaviour when one of their players did something dumb and the other team got 4 home to win the game. "Ah shucks, what a shame!' They said. I was gobsmacked!

New industries are needed to replace the loss of manufacturing etc. Better than making weapons.

In fact the threedays we had there were brilliant! I'd go back in a heart beat! So much beautiful country to see. And the city is so laid back! It's like a big country town.

I think it'll happen, but progress is so glacial here that it may well be over a decade away.
