The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Very flat performance, and this was amplified when we went two men down.

Need a big response against the Saints next week.

Brave effort in the second half with 2 players down.

Had the better of that half but failure to convert cost us.

In the end the dreadful first half was the difference.

You can't kick 5.15 and expect to win games.

We could have made a game of it in the last quarter, but kept missing the goals.Wells twice and DeGoey once spring to mind. All in all it reminded me of our performances from recent years, dogged, determined, but lacking skill, especially up forward. We need to throw everything at Lynch next year, because this forward line just isn't going to cut it.

Bad kicking is bad football.

Still, 2 men down and if just a few of those behinds were an inch two to the good we would have run them close. Not panicking.

I can't fault the effort. Pendles was missed badly. Injuries and friggin umpiring didn't help.

At least Bucks will be forced to give Fas a go - a positive.

We were never going to win with two guys down, Moore off was a huge loss, then Phillips. Least we fought it out, didn't get smashed, we have a lot of players sidelined, imagine Reid and Pendles in today, with Moore playing it out, be a different result, id love to play these pricks with our best team available. ! Umps were totally shite, shades of queens birthday last year, we need to lodge a complaint ,but eddie wont do it, never does. Anyway, I'm proud of the boys, lot of turnovers errors, but we fought it right out, we are on the right track, just need better luck on the injury front, finally.

Skills not good - are we still feeling the effects of 3 games in 10 days?

Team selection - would have loved to have seen Sier in there today. We needed a big bodied mid-fielder with Pendles being out.

Umpires - absolutely woeful and disgusting. Had no idea.

Injuries - doesn't help when they happened during the game. Two men down for most of the second half. Why can't the AFL bring in a provision for a spare "concussion" player, that can come on if a player is out of the game due to concussion?? It's not a conditioning thing, but is awfully unfair to the team that loses a man through accidental (or otherwise) concussion.

At least we persisted against the odds. Great games from Shazza and Crisp.

I thought that Crocker in for Pendles was a bit strange. Not exactly like for like. Our midfield looked undermanned. Mayne played one of his best games.
