How many weeks for Gaff?

Just saw Gaff's hit on the Freo player.

If Cameron got 5 weeks for attempting to spoil, then a deliberate off the ball strike should see Gaff missing the GF, if the Eagles get there.

Minimum 6-8 weeks in my view.

If we get a shot at them in the finals, he should be missing.

Fractured jaw, 4 displaced teeth, surgery, no further part in game, off the ball, non-football act ... 8+ weeks if they are serious.

How many weeks did Barry Hall get ?
7 weeks ?
Well there's the starting point
Think in today's world it will get looked at a lot more
I'm guessing 10-12 weeks
Commentators saying 6 weeks and saying what a great buy he is and how upset he was afterwards
That should carry no weight
If he gets under 8 weeks then they've gone soft on protecting the player

8 weeks 2 weeks each high contact, deliberate, behind play and consequence.
It means he misses finals. Whatever he gets they will challenge.

straight to tribunal with 7 weeks on the side lines

Season over.

If that happend outside of the football field he would be looking at a suspended jail sentence no doubt.

cuff him and put him in the back of the paddy wagon. Im surprised his mum didnt press charges.

Minimum 8 weeks.

Plus if I was the victim I'd be pressing assault charges causing GBH.

A gaol sentence would not be out of order in this instance.

Brayshaw was niggling him behind play too. The umpire should have stopped it. Not defending Gaff at all, just adding perspective.

I had Gaff down as a fair ball player. Seems completely out of character.

Initially I thought he tried to hit him in the chest but missed.
The other consideration is to look at what kind of sledging he was getting subjected to (if any).
Very strange indeed.

If it was intentional, and unprovoked, I'd give him 8 weeks.
