Can’t say I’m overly disappointed. I wanted Labor to win, and Daley seemed like a big improvement on Foley, but NSW Labor suck and NSW Libs seem more tolerable than their counterparts in most other states.
Only truly bad thing is if the Federal gov take any confidence from this. I do badly want them to suffer eternally.

I was up in Toc for the weekend, which is in the electorate of Murray. The Nationals have had a mortgage on that seat forever, this year the Libs and Labor didn't even field a candidate, The Greens got a total of 804 votes (2.36%) and the Shooters, fishers and farmers party romped home with 40% of the primary vote to the Nats 35% (55 to 45 tpp)

Dunno why they're surprised. Murray is a rural electorate, no cities, a few largish towns, very focused on local issues including the environment which is why they aren't going to give any attention to inner city lefties and won't tolerate being taken for granted by the Nats.
Practical pragmatic people, just don't expect a tumeric latte or a vegan brunch to be highly available.
