you can say only 70, but really, he got a second chance in 1976...
Amazing driver, what an extraordinary life,
RIP Niki, thanks for the memories xxx

I recall there was a disco dance that was named after him after he was burned in that terrible accident (jump around patting out the flames).
Was a real hero getting back in the saddle after he was so badly burned. We talk about bravery in Aussie Rules but those blokes put it all on the line every time they raced. Life or Death. Its still a hazardous sport today, but back in 'the old days' they didn't have all the safety systems that are there now.
Rest in peace Mr Lauda at you final pit stop. And if you are chasing pole position in the Pearly Gates Grand Prix you will have to wrest it from Ayton Senna.

Now you really got me crying, Senna always my favourite, I still remember waking up to the news, I was pregnant, fell asleep during the race, so heartbreaking.
We are visiting Nurburgring in August, for a lap of the track, and a vintage Grand Prix the next day, I’ll be taking my hat off for Niki for sure, cheers

Senna died 15 days before I was born, but his story is incredibly sad.Woods wrote:Rest in peace Mr Lauda at you final pit stop. And if you are chasing pole position in the Pearly Gates Grand Prix you will have to wrest it from Ayton Senna.

The movie about Hunt isn't bad viewing either.
Senna vs Prost was one of the most remarkable battles in modern F1
the movie breaks my heart all over again!!
Peter Brock, Ayton Senna, just like yesterday, i remember exactly where i was when i heard, ironically in the same room!
the movie star looks helped of course!!
