So, Foxtel is applying to have laws enforced and you have an issue with that?
A rip off?
I don't think so. I've been a subscriber for over 20 years and think it's great value for money. How do you class it as a 'rip off'? If you don't want it you don't have to pay for it, you can chose packages starting from around $40/month... people pay more for a packet of smokes.

Foxtel seems to be "Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays of Replays"

Haha, I don't know any of those sites and having a VPN means these stupid ISP blocks are totally impotent anyway.
I'll keep using Pirate Bay and 1337x and Foxtel can GAGF. When I can get a Netflix sub for $14 or whatever a month and watch what I want, when I want, the Foxtel model is outdated, price gouging rubbish.

My daughter has netflix... there's nothing on there I'd watch TBH.
Depends on what you want to watch I guess. I love all the live sport on Foxtel, surfing, footy, rugby, cricket etc... can you get the'main event' stuff anywhere else?
The missus watches heaps on it and then there's all the kids channels for the grandy's.
I think it's good value for money for what we want.
Dave, if it's a rip off... I'm guessing you don't have it, so how do you come to the conclusions that it's replays, replays replays?? I haven't found that to be the case at all.

I've had Foxtel since it started. Actually, I started with Optusvision as they had the Disney channel when the kids were young, and changed to Foxtel as soon as they had the same content.
I have 2 boxes, 1 in each loungeroom, the old girl would go nuts without it and I'd go nuts if I only had it in the one room
I also have netflix as I can access different stuff there to Foxtel.
I don't have a VPN, can't find any torrent sites that aren't blocked and since I hate going to the cinema/theatre to watch a movie, I just wit til it comes out on Bluray. So I haven't seen Avengers End game yet, the spoilers I've read and watched don't ruin it for me, I'll enjoy it once I get it.
%$^ Murdoch? %$^ the cinemas for locking in an outdated monopoly with movie producers. Stream new releases on on pay per view a month after release and I'll pay to watch it at home legally.

That's the thing that shits me. I have had the Foxtel platinum package since day dot but it doesn't have everything. I only use torrents to make up for what Foxtel don't have, yet they try to do everything to stop me doing do so.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Haven't posted here before, but I am a Foxtel subscriber. One question for Dave. Why do you think you have a right to free everything? There is no such thing as a free lunch, and if you're getting pirated streams it's on the back of people like me paying to keep production companies alive. If everything was free there'd be zero jobs and a dead economy. So I have zero sympathy for pirates like you Dave!

They have to pay for the content they broadcast, don't forget.

That is the Problem with the setup at the Moment in Business that every Company is Putting Price up because another put there is up.
I kind of worry how this could have really bad ending when things come so expensive that not many people can afford to live well. Be bit like in India where you have the Mega Rich and People living in Shanty Towns.
No Wonder the Shitty Reputation News Corp has that they losing any money as no one want to buy things from them
