No he’s not ours!

Western bulldogs bags in the boot with no 7 on the side of it and yes the age fits, 25 year old.

(De Goey is only 24, I checked! Before they showed the pic of the smashed up SVU!)

Confirmed now

Relief that he’s not ours!

So much sympathy and support on radio! Unbelievable. He fled the scene. Apparently he left details with a witness -- but he still fled the scene to avoid an alcohol test. He ploughed into four parked cars and tested way way way over the limit over an hour later when police caught up with him. He can thank his lucky stars he isn't a Collingwood player. Imagine if it was one of our VC's, Sidebottom or Howe?

From the ABC's coronavirus blog:
AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan says he's still waiting to hear the full details about an alleged drink driving incident involving Lachie Hunter, which also saw him fined for breaching coronavirus laws.

Police say the Western Bulldogs vice-captain crashed into four parked cars on Wright Street at Middle Park last night, before he fled the scene.

He's alleged to have been found at an address in South Yarra soon after, and recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.123.

Hunter has lost his licence for 12 months.

McLachlan has told Melbourne radio station 3AW the league's intergrity unit is also investigating.

I'm not going to comment on specific cases. Again it needs to be established exactly what the facts are but drink driving's completely unacceptable in any aspect in the community. We know that. As are breaching lockdown laws. These are things that are pretty cut and dried.
If this had been a Collingwood player, he would have been given about 10 weeks' holiday by the AFL.

By the way, on those facts the police should probably be giving him a hefty "outside while not necessary" penalty, too.

Lacchie Hunter suspension penalty vs Magpie Players

Post by inxs88 »

Ok. Over to you media mafia. Let's just see how hard you go in prosecuting Mr Hunter to whom has:

* Hit 4 parked cars
* 2 belonging to the parents of Bailey Smith (teammate)
* leaving the scene of an offence
* registering 2.5 times the legal alcohol limit
* including two other teammates (Bailey Smith and B Gowers) in his escapades
* contravening social distancing rules

Now let's revisit the penalties for these Pies players:

* Nick Maxwell: 8 weeks for telling a parent about a bet
* Heath Shaw: 10 weeks for having a bet
* Jaidyn Stephenson: 10 weeks for a flutter
* Didak & Shaw: the rest of the season plus finals for crashing a car in 2008 July
* Keefe & Thomas: 2 years for some party drugs
* S Murray: 18 months which was career ending for a sniff of Columbia's finest

The media all had there very large say pre, during and post penalty announcements. Already, we are getting the cliche "mental illness card" for poor cabin fever Lachie. Let's hope he is afforded the same scrutiny as the aforementioned.

Hunter should be hung, drawn, quartered, eviscerated, disemboweled, keelhauled and suspended for 3 weeks

IF that Hunter was a Magpie ??

Post by Piesnchess »

I reckon that doggies VC Hunter got off pretty damn lightly myself, drunk, smashed four cars, lied, dragged in teamates, and broke virus law too. Imagine, just imagine, if he was a Magpie, there would have been ten times the publicity, the rage, the angst, the corona virus would have been pushed right off the front page of all papers. Imagine Magpie hater Caro Wilson, and Kane Cornes, along with that Mark Robinson, screaming for heads too roll at Collingwood, our culture is shit, etc etc, bloody Caro would be going ballistic if he was a Magpie. As it was the whole thing was very low key, i reckon. But had Hunter been a Pie, all hell would have broke loose, mark my words.! Didnt Heath Shaw get ten weeks or so, for a similar thing, and to think young Stephenson got ten weeks, for a small bet, and yet this prick gets lousy four weeks for a drunken binge that wrecked four cars ?? Unreal, just unreal, if he played for us, hed be crucified by the media.:o
