No, I have not missed it as much as I anticipated.

I think this is partly because I mentally checked out of the season earlier than most people, when the pandemic was beginning to ramp up in late February/early March.

Though, I do miss attending games which may sound like a contradiction to the first paragraph.

No, i am still waiting for the day of proper football, the game with crowds and fans, the game as it should and ought to be.

Yeah, totally agree Piesnchess. The AFL will play games without crowds and fans only to appease the Corporate Sponsors and TV stations. I'd much rather that they didn't play footy at all this season but rather waited till next year to play a proper fair dinkum season instead of this Mickey Mouse 17 game nonsense that will stuff up AFL tradition and history.
I'll probably get flamed but am beyond caring these days. Surely the game deserves a proper season? A proper AFL season is NOT 17 games plus 4 weeks of finals. This is nothing more than a season of convenience to appease the Corporate masters and the TV gods. Typical worshipping of the all mighty dollar.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

Nah, I'm working from home and have 2 hours of my life back each day that I used to spend commuting. Viva la lockdown, long may we work from home.

I've been watching the footy on TV rather than going to games the past few years anyway so no dramas once they restart

How does it help? Does it make you happy you're not Luc Longley?

id be happy to be Luc!! still a champ, made plenty of money playing what he loved!!

i was always an MJ fan, i dont watch NBL much, but i used to watch his games. so many of the games are so close, you know like getting done by 5 damn points, like twice ive seen that live! its damn awful!! there is a lot of game time in the series, the really wow wow wow moments. i also have a boxed set of his best games, and it sure beats the dribble on aussie tv!
