Does he go around one more season?
He'll turn 38 in October and if he plays on is due to play his 400th game in 2021. (He's on 382 after round 7, 2020). Will the Hawks bring him back? And if they dont, does another team give him a contract?
After today, the Hawks will have ten games left and dont look likely to make finals in 2020. If he plays every game, that sees him on 392 at seasons end.
Would a contender be interested, where he may not reach the 400 mark as a depth and almost coach? Does he help a contender? Or does a lower team that needs a veteran leader give him the chance, where he'd likely hit the 400 mark?
The almost 38 year old Shaun Burgoyne

So he will go round one last time.https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2020-shaun-burgoyne-retirement-hawthorn-400-games-afl-players-port-adelaide-hawthorn-list/news-story/3052173af8b205cbf5dcd50401e7f8cc
Hawthorn legend Shaun Burgoyne will play his 20th and final season in 2021, with the club announcing he’ll step into an advisory role at the club after his retirement.
On 387 games and likely to play in Hawthorns final 2 games this year, he will need 11 games in 2021 to reach 400.
157 games for Port, I wonder if they regret letting him go? 230 so far for the Hawks.
Not bad for a guy turning 38 in October. And to think he was a few weeks from turning 33 when he won the GF against West Coast.
A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned!

And a diabolical call by the scump to call play on. Clearly a free kick to Roids.Pies4shaw wrote:For the Burgoyne fans, here's video of his finest career moment - against Ben Johnson in the 2002 QF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5JP8LRW2xs
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
