Gabba Grand Final

Wouldn’t it be nice if we win the flag in front of that Collingwood-hating AFL-indifferent Brisbane crowd. AFL’s gotta sell Gold Coast memberships, but I bet traditional footy towns Perth and Adelaide are spitting chips.

Wouldn’t no injuries be nice too?
Not happening as long as our arseholes point to the ground.
One week at a time, from here on in...

Yeh, if we had a full team, no injuries, now Mayne gone, wed give it a real shake, but not now, sadly, not this covid season. This will be great news for bloody Richmond, whom seem to love the Gabba like the G, they can handle the Lions there too, and beat Wet toast easily there. Im not sure i can handle another horrid arrogant Tigers year, their fans are just so insufferable now, after years of burning their memberships in mirowave ovens. The bastards do get injuries, but they all come back, ours never come back, hardly, and thats a fact. sigh.

Yet our wonderful coach thinks West Coast should get a home grand final...
The GABBA is the only choice, if Perth wanted it they shouldn't have made life so difficult for the AFL. Brisbane let them all in and should be rewarded.

The problem now will be Season 2021 and the players going back to a cold wet Melbourne for regular season matches. I think the players have had a taste of QLD winters and will want permanent relocation!

Gabba it is...officially.
Tigers definitely favourites now. Wet Toast know they're fooked and can't win the flag....unless they play the Pies of course.

Now that it’s at the Gabba, there’ll be a HUGE push for a WC GF in the very near future. The gates are now open. I’m spitting chips about Brisbane getting it, especially that smug Premier gloating about it when none of them give a flying truck about AFL. Perth at least has an awesome stadium and a footy mad population. This is all about the money for the AFL’s failing Gold Coast and Queensland footy. Keep sinking the $$$ into it, Gill, it won’t change.

Get there and we're a good chance.
The problem now is getting there.

It is interesting isn't it.
Without the expansion of the competition from VFL to AFL the season would have been finished.
Queensland deserves it

Don't worry about this. Too much money is lost by moving the game from the MCG in ordinary circumstances, so the AFL is never going to agree to send the match to Perth, except on terms that WA can't afford.
It's great that it's in Brisbane - Perth and Adelaide would have been too much of a leg-up for West Coast or Port, as the case might have been, but I am not that fussed about playing Brisbane up there. They might beat us - but, then, they might beat us anywhere, the form they're in and we do get pre-finals practice this Friday against them, which is a very good thing.

Interesting timing considering we play Brisbane at the Gabba two days after the announcement. Hope it doesn’t fire them up and get the weekend warrior Bears supporters out of the woodwork!

The Question that has to be answered is why are tickets to this weeks Lions v Coll game double the price of every other collingwood game thats been at the gabba this year?
Oh wait...its a Lions home game so they are getting the gate revenue so lets jack up the prices.
went from $30 for any seat available to people to 69?
Whats changed? im still going to the ground to see my same team play.. why is it cheaper to watch 2 non-brisbane teams?
