He is actually unbearable.

Watching Swans Vs Cats just now and in the first quarter, he had nothing to say. Nothing. He was all glum.

All of a sudden in the second half, he comes alive with extreme excitement in his voice.

This does not happen in games where Ling is calling and Geelong are not playing, nor does it happen when Geelongs opposition are up and about.

He is a dead set shocker.

Strikes me as a top bloke, but I dislike his commentary as well.

One of my pet hates about Ling's commentary is he's always excusing bad umpiring calls. He's been doing it since he joined 7's commentary team in 2012.
