She was head of Blackmore when she was invited to the board but has since shifted to the GPO sorry Australia Post.
The previous head of Australia Post was infamous for his gazillion dollar salary while cutting services.
She’s not in that league but her judgement might need to be called into question with respect to her behaviour in wanting to appease racist and divisive types like Pauline Hanson during the lockdown of the high rise housing commission flats and now she’s facing scrutiny over alleged gifts which is small fry compared to the income she’s brought.

Nonsense. This is nothing more than a political hatchet job on her. Four $3000 watches to executives who made Australia Post $60,000,000 on a deal with the banks. She's taken a massive pay cut from Blackmores to repair the damage of her predecessor who was on twice her salary. Now she'll walk away and leave it to the politicians to claim their lavish travel expenses which few of us query.
She can piss off and you can too, Eddie... I mean, MBFC or whichever board member/relative you are. If you think Holgate’s attitude is the type we want on the club’s board, then take a flying leap. No wonder the club, and AFL, is just money grabbing for-profit, not a people’s club (that died a long time ago). Considering what Collingwood was built on, and what it stood for for so many decades, this is a disgrace

I don’t believe that anyone on this board would have enough knowledge to determine whether the wrong thing was done or not. Australia Post is government owned but is run as a commercial organisation, not as part of the public service. Each of the executives that received a watch valued at a few thousand dollars, as a performance bonus, will have employment contracts which most likely provide for bonuses subject to certain pre conditions being met. Even if they don’t, which is unlikely, it makes good commercial sense to reward employees whose efforts result in significantly higher returns than their budgets required them to meet. The bellowing here sounds like political opportunism or people not understanding how the commercial world works.

Anyone here who thinks that Collingwood memberships alone are propping up the CFC should think again. It's business people like Christine Holgate who bring money into the club. If it wasn't for Eddie this club would have been broke a long time ago. You don't have to be in love with them to recognize what they do for the club. Unfortunately we fall in love with governments and believe everything they say.

What about Mark Korda? He apparently and amongst other things liquidates companies and pays the little people last....who knows where this stops....

I would hope for your sake that he doesn’t read this as being a liquidator he is an officer of the court and bound to pay out creditors as prescribed by law. The “little people” are quite often the unsecured trade creditors which stand in line, by law, after the secured creditors who are normally banks and other financiers. The liquidator has no choice as to which class of creditors he pays, and when.
