^No problem there on the more fanatical Greens and far leftists groups you don't like. I don't follow Aussie state politics, so I can't comment on Dan Andrews, but I do know you despise him.
Do you support the people responsible for the policy failures I listed in the original post?

Nah it’s about being really honest about a party’s policies. Every party has policies that you either agree or disagree with, that’s a given. It’s about discerning the policies that I think best represent and reflect my left of centre political thinking. A vast majority of the time the ALP or the Greens appeal to me, being broad churches. However at present I’m not a fan of the Green’s leader. So that leaves the ALP as my choice, at least for the moment.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

Is that the only one you took issue with?eddiesmith wrote:Going to be honest, when I got to they wanted to blame the federal government for not overruling state fire services well it was clearly a load of shit...

"Not overruling" is Eddie-speak for "being begged for help by fire experts and fire services all over the country and flatly refusing to do anything at all".
This is why the recent fires were so very, very bad: everybody knew that a firestorm was on the cards but Morrison refused to listen. Only AFTER the national disaster did he agree to provide basic services like a national large air tanker system to be shared on an as-needed basis between the regions. And, of course, after bagging the easy photo-opp and making the grandiose announcement, he quietly reallocated the money to other things. As usual. Never in the history of this nation has one man "spent" the same dollar so many times in front of so many cameras.

^So, pretty much the Trump of bushfires. Undermine the research and underfund the protective risk management layers; encourage denialist bravado and spread anti-scientific mindset; surround government with fawning hacks and innumerate halfwits with planning time horizon of two minutes; deny risk and bully agencies to avoid dealing with qualified, forthright scientists; deny problem when it hits to avoid bad news cycles; wheel out states to keep hands clean of mess; react miles after the event with photo ops of Christian concern; live in delusional world afterwards that tens upon tens of billions needed to overcome disaster were evidence of superior performance; brush off utter national and environmental catastrophe as god's will.
