i know my dislike towards richmond is well documentated but i liking this time that hawthorn is in.

The bottom line is well they have had success from the 1960,70,80,2008 then 2012-2015.

Now its their time and a decade to stuggle and everythings a battle and about time too.

From my memory they just have not had to stuggle at all.

Time that changed.

Like to see hawthorn bottom 4 these next few years.

Do you get more joy at the failure of others or the success of Collingwood? I suggest you stand in front of a mirror and take a good hard look.

It was only us, with a hand up from Melbourne, that stopped the Hawthorn 4-peat from 1988-1991, in that mighty 1990 season.
We can even thank Carlton for stopping them in 1987, from doing it from 1986-1989.
Although Geelong should have won 1989, but f#ck them too.

So, that window from 1992-2007, where Hawthorn made the finals regularly, but rarely progressed to a Prelim, was good while it lasted ...

Always looks weird seeing hawthorn so low on the ladder just doesnt look right but its good they are in a lowly position on the ladder.

Basically the result of them trading away many of their first rounders last decade, to bring in players from other clubs to fill the gaps; which worked well for a while, but now they are paying the piper, as are we.
