McCrae or Treloar

Hypothetical question here. Let's pretend the Western Bulldogs want to unite both McCrae brothers at their club and are willing to trade Treloar back to us for McCrae in exchange and Treloar agrees to a pay cut to the equivalent salary that McCrae is on. So all things being equal except for the age difference who do you prefer out of Treloar or McCrae for next season and beyond.

McCrea for me. We desperately need to move on from the Treloar stuff up instead of revisiting it.

No thanks, Treolar is going to be constantly riddled with injuries - getting rid of him was practically the best thing we could have done, and not just for money.
This is not saying I thought it was handled correctly at all... and everything else that went with that.

Gawd No! McCrae.
I wish Adam all the best but I do not want to hear anymore about him or from him.
Unite the brothers at Collingwood.

For this question - McCrae. All day every day. My favorite player still now is Pendles and it goes back to the signs I saw in him in his first game - which I was there for.
There has not been another player since then to now that I have seen those signs in...........Until McCrae
Now an interesting question would be - IF cap was not an issue at all, would you rather have Treloar in this team right now OR McCrae ?
For me its a little like the Shaw / Adams deal. Shaw was elite for a few years before Adams became elite himself but age and leadership qualities suggest it was the right thing for us and GWS.

What a stupid topic.
Treloar's body is broken - will be lucky to play 75 games in 5 years at the Dogs.
McCrae can hit a target by foot - something Treloar has always struggled with.

The
hypothetical question goes to the heart of our 'strategy' last year that caused much angst. In a way the question help us reflect on the positive aspects that may have come out of that 'strategy'.
There are other variables of course - trade value, ongoing payments etc. etc.

Not to be picky but we should probably get his surname right first .
Macrae is the correct spelling and Jack is his half brother.
I have no doubt history will prove we will get more out Macrae than we got out of Treloar. I’m not a Treloar basher and his finishes in best and fairests suggests he was a decent player for us. As long as Macrae continues to strive to get the best out of himself, then his next 10 years would be a far better return than Treloars remaining years.

Treloar may win a flag in the next 12-24 months but he will not be missed.
Stephenson is what hurts.

Losing Treoar was a brilliant outcome. He isn't up to the role we were paying him to play. It took 2 offseasons to get rid of him but they finally achieved it. Why would we want him back? Apart from having the opportunity to sack him again, what would be the point?

Adam was hard work for the club the day he turned up to the Carringbush. He wanted his initial contracts pushed back due to let's say "relationship issues".

Yes, at the time the Club was castigated and slammed for it, but in hindsight, was a good decision, was injury prone with us, and now has been out at the Doggies for ages, may even miss the Finals. Hes the past, Mcrae is the future.

Treloar is back this Week.
But I agree I would not do the Trade as we are looking at the Future at Collingwood and not Now

The much maligned Treloar has come straight back in to play in the Premiership favourite’s team after a long term injury.I wonder how many of our current midfielders would get a run in the Bulldogs’s midfield? Not many I suspect.
