England will do ok in the series should reach the final.
Trescothick is a gun batsman hasnt showed his best on the tour.
I will be interested to see a bit of Watsons bowling on the highlights looks like he got belted.

Lets wait until the world cup when Lehmann bowls in South Africa and gets carted all over the park.
I want Australia to win the world cup but ideally i want them to get a wake up call in this series rather then when they reach South Africa.
From what ive seen of the games in South Africa i would still go for two recognised openers and wouldnt be replying or hoping for players like Lehman or Bevan to bowl many overs.

Firstly, if he is asked to bowl it will be because one of the 5 first choice bowlers (all considered better bowlers than Lehmann, Martyn, Bevan, Ponting and Hayden) have already been carted. We rely on our main bowlers. We don't rely on the part timers but sometimes, like last night's game, they're needed.
Secondly, we (they) are wide awake !! We got our wake-up call in last year's home series.

Who are the five bowlers ? I only count Lee, McGrath, Gilesppie and Warne as bowlers. I hope they are not relying on Shane Watson to bowl 10 overs ...... At this stage he is in the team based more on hope than actual performance. The way the commentators were talking last night it sounded to me like they favoured a bowling all rounder eg Blewett ?
Im just concerned that Australia may go from facing Caddick, Kirtley and Sri Lankan medium pace to World Cup in South Africa and face quality fast bowling like Pollock, Akram and Ahktar on pitches that are tailored to suit them.

No, m8. I'd have Harvey or Bichel in Watson's place and as far as having pitches tailored to suit 'them', what about McGrath, Gillespie, Warne (who can bowl on anything)and Lee?
As far as Shoaib being a quality fast bowler, that's certainly debatable. In one-dayers, he goes for 4.5 per over. Pollock (3.77) McGrath (3.9) Caddick (4.02) Vaas (4.2) and Donald (4.13) are quality fast bowlers, on those figures anyway.
In Tests, all those bowlers (yes, including Caddick and Vaas) have better r.p.o. figures than Akhtar and all have more wickets per Test.

I agree Harvey would be my fifth bowler for sure as he has good change of pace handy with the bat and brilliant in the field.
Ahktar however i think is a very very good bowler and when on song is hard to stop.
Pakistan bowled very well in yesterdays one dayer, as South Africa enjoyed the best of the batting conditions as at night on that ground the moisture makes it extremely difficult to bat (according to the commentators anyway)
